Renewal of Electoral Roll

The electoral roll is the parish church’s register of electors; that is the list of those qualified to attend and vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meetings.

Under Church Representation Rules the electoral roll has to be renewed every six years and 2019 is the year for this to happen.  We therefore need to draw up a completely new roll.  This means that everyone has to come off the roll and re-apply.

Everyone who wishes to have their names entered on the new Electoral Roll whether their names are entered on the present roll or not, are requested to apply for enrolment not later than Sunday 24th March 2019.

If you are registered on the present Electoral Roll forms are available in a named envelope in church at both St Paul’s and St Mary’s. For those not on the Electoral Roll loose copies are available or they can be found on the websites.  Completed forms should be returned to the Church Wardens in either church, via the labelled box es at the back of church.

The new electoral roll will be displayed in both churches from Sunday 14th April 2019 for errors/omissions to be corrected.  No names may be added or removed at this time.

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting is on Monday 29th April 2019 at St Mary’s Church, Burgh Heath at  7.45 pm.
